Presentation
In France, two scientific and technical working groups deal with urban hydrology issues:
The ‘Urban Hydrology’ section, created in 1985, within the SHF’s ‘Water and Environment’ Division.
The ‘Pluvial’ working group, created in 1992, within the ‘Assainissement’ Commission of ASTEE (Association Scientifique et Technique pour l’Eau et l’Environnement).
Since April 2003, meetings have been held at a rate of 4 to 5 per year, and are systematically shared, as are the minutes. Naturally, each group retains its own relations and operating procedures within each association.
This section organises the ‘Journées doctorales en hydrologie urbaine’, the 8th edition of which was held in November 2018. It has also organised a symposium on the ‘Functioning of drainage systems’ in February 2019.
