Presentation
Hydroinformatics is a scientific and technical field that has developed over the last forty years thanks to simultaneous advances in fundamental knowledge of water sciences, numerical methods and computing capacities.
Today, modeling systems are increasingly used to improve management of the various aspects of the water cycle, and in particular to address complex situations where different uses are in competition. The most recent hydroinformatics tools now integrate social and environmental dimensions, while enabling real-time use thanks to advances in communication networks. The aim of the working group is to propose a methodological reflection and practical implementation of simulation tools.
The proposed activities are in line with the various events organized by the division and the SHF, and in particular with the SimHydro conference cycle.
